Dolan became the first player to achieve a nine-dart finish during a leg in the double start format. This was done by hitting double 20, two treble 20's followed by three treble 20's and finally treble 20, treble 17 and finally bullseye.
He hit it against James Wade who himself achieved the feat three years later with Robert Thornton doing it also in the same game.
