World Cup of Darts starting on Thursday night in Jena, DartsNews looks back at one of the best known ties in the history of the tournament back in 2012.
A final between England and Australia was set with the teams of
Phil Taylor and
Adrian Lewis as well as
Simon Whitlock and
Paul Nicholson.
The former took a 3-0 lead but thanks to a victory for Nicholson over Lewis, Australia forced a pairs tie.
The Aussie's won the pairs game and made it 3-3. A deciding leg was set to decide the title and the result is below.
