Mike Gregory was the winner of our first ever event - The 1992 Lada UK Masters He beat Dennis Priestley 8-5 in the final to secure a £5,000 prize and a Lada car!
Earlier this week, Mike Gregory sadly passed away at the age of 65. 'The Quiet Man' of Darts' was one of the 'rebels' who went along with the split to the newly formed World Darts Council (WDC).
Now known as the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and Gregory won the first tournament, the LADA UK Masters.
He defeated Peter Evison (6-3), John Lowe (6-1), Jocky Wilson (7-0) and Dennis Priestley (8-5) on his way to the title and the PDC released the match darts from the match.
