Dimitri van den Bergh is through to the semi-finals on his debut at the World Matchplay after seeing off Adrian Lewis 16-12 as his dream run in Milton Keynes continues.
Van den Bergh was understandably ecstatic afterwards and he believes he has proven a point in victory that he can beat the best.
"In the beginning, I was feeling so strong. In the beginning I went like play your game, focus on your game, keep him under pressure. If I'm right I think I remember well that he missed his chances but I didn't," said Van den Bergh post-match to Online Darts.
"The longer the game took. The more difficult it was to keep myself under control, I know I can play but it wasn't going as easy anymore."
"Adrian has been there in the finals. I showed that I can play, long games, short games I've got it in me. I've learnt from myself I keep learning I keep digging in."
