On Sunday 30 July, a darts tournament will be organized in Brecht, Belgium, to benefit sick Liam. The one-year-old boy was recently diagnosed with brain stem cancer.

The tournament can already count on the support of Dimitri Van den Bergh. 'The Dreammaker' is calling on everyone to take part in the tournament and is also donating a match shirt.

"I heard the news in connection with Liam and I myself would hate for this to happen to my own little daughter," Van den Bergh said in a video. "I hope everything will be fine and our little man will be a strong little guy to overcome this. I have signed a shirt from which - with a little support - I will be able to help you. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Hopefully there will be a lot of help and you will come out together."

Besides Brian Raman and Ronny Huybrechts, among others, Mrs Van den Bergh's Evi Loyaerts will also be present at the tournament. "It started with a request for a shirt," Loyaerts told Het Nieuwsblad.

Auction

"There is also an auction with also jerseys of footballers, such as from Antwerp, with the proceeds going entirely to the parents. But we didn't want to leave it like this, so we decided with the DNE (Darts Never Enough) darts school to organise a tournament. You know, Oonah (daughter of Dimitri and Evi) is 1.5 years old now so that does come into such a story. If I had something like that going on, I would greatly appreciate it if people wanted to help. So all proceeds go to Liam, to give him a boost."
