Van der Voort gives insight into Van Gerwen friendship: "He is sometimes so clumsy, I stand watching and think this does not exist"

Vincent van der Voort is known to have a particularly good relationship with fellow dart player Michael van Gerwen. They often travel to darts tournaments together.

Van der Voort often has to laugh at his compatriot, he said in an interview with De Telegraaf. ''He is sometimes so clumsy, that I stand watching from a distance and think: this does not exist. It always makes me laugh. A cheeky man has half the world and he always assumes that what he does is just right. It always works out, but I couldn't do it myself'', says the dart player from Purmerend.

He then came up with an example. ''When I arrive at a hotel, I look where there is a parking space. Michael doesn't. He just puts that car in front of the door. Done. Then we get out and I see everyone already looking. Nine times out of ten, nothing is said about it either. I like that, because I would like to be more like that myself,'' said Van der Voort.
