Vincent van der Voort will take on Gerwyn Price in the opening round of the Dutch Darts Masters on Friday night.
Van der Voort attended Thursday's press event of the Toto Dart Kings, a team that gathers the best Dutch darts players under one roof. "This tournament is a home one for me," Van der Voort said to Dartsnews.com. "I live about twenty minute drive from the venue and I'm going to do everything I can to perform as well as possible here. Ideally, I would have even come on stage with the Ajax song."
Unstable season
The 46-year-old Dutchman is having a somewhat unstable season for the time being. "My form lately is somewhat in the middle, not great, but not very bad either. I have not played many tournaments. Now there is an important period. At the moment I'm just outside of qualifying for the big tournaments. So something has to happen and I am practicing very hard for that."
