Martijn Kleermaker and
Vincent van der Voort were recently guests as analysts on Viaplay. There, they complained about the poor conditions at the UK Open.
The UK Open traditionally took place at Butlin's Minehead last week. Many players were unhappy about the poor conditions. "It's a recurring problem. There are different rooms there, in some it is nice and warm, but in others you are literally freezing," Kleermaker said.
Contempt
Van der Voort also said the players suffered cold temperatures during the Premier League night in Exeter. "It is pure contempt from the PDC towards the players," said Van der Voort. "They really don't care at all. Matt Porter (CEO of the PDC) came into the practice at the Premier League in Exeter and said it was all okay. But he forgets that his opinion doesn't really count at all, he has never played at any level himself and doesn't understand it. Oh well, it's been like that for years, they don't do anything about it anyway."
