Vincent van der Voort has been around in the darts world for a long time. However, the now 47-year-old Dutchman is beginning to think about quitting.
Van der Voort is mainly struggling with a lack of motivation at the moment. "There are of course several reasons for that, but at the moment I'm not enjoying darts very much," Van der Voort told 433 Darts.
"But if I start saying I'm quitting right now, I might regret it later. That's why I'm going to think carefully over the next few months and tie the knot definitively after that."
Performance
"I still find it a very beautiful sport, but there are also many things that bother me," Van der Voort continued. "At the moment I have little desire to go to tournaments, that hunger for performance has to come back, otherwise I just have to admit it's run out."
A temporary break, as Adrian Lewis recently announced, is not in the cards for Van der Voort. "If I stop, then it's also permanent," he said.
