Van Duijvenbode ends Campbell's run as Clayton survives late rally from Heta at Belgian Darts Open

Dirk van Duijvenbode has reached the Quarter-Finals at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze. In the third round, he overcame Matt Campbell.

The key point in the match was the eighth leg, in which Campbell missed a chance on the bullseye to make it 4-4. Van Duijvenbode then pinned 120 for a break. The Dutchman then held with a 14-darter to secure the win.

A duel with Jonny Clayton awaits in the quarter-finals on Sunday evening. The Welshman played a strong third round match against Damon Heta and was 6-3 too strong for 'The Heat' thanks to an average of over 100.

Albeit after Clayton initially went 5-0 up and had to survive a late rally from the Aussie, but he only sealed three legs as 'The Ferret' sealed it.
