For Dirk van Duijvenbode, the second round at the Grand Slam of Darts has become the finish line. Aubergenius went down 10-4 against Joe Cullen.
"I was throwing way too fast," Van Duijvenbode opened to Viaplay. "That was because I was on stage with too much self-confidence. This is incredibly stupid, I consider myself a better player than Joe, but I absolutely did not show that tonight."
Adjustment
"I also only had to play the last match of the evening, which was quite an adjustment anyway," Van Duijvenbode continued. "After all, all week I had to start early. Oh well, I really regret this, but it's no different. I have to accept this defeat and look ahead to the next tournament."
