Noppert after spurning winning position against Price: "This really shouldn't have happened"

Danny Noppert failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam of Darts. The Freeze went down 10-8 against Gerwyn Price in the second round.

Noppert was ahead for almost the entire match, but still lost. "This really shouldn't have happened. He plays particularly strong in the latter half, but I feel I left it mainly to myself," Noppert told Viaplay.

Realistic

"This is a huge disappointment," Noppert continued. "But I am also someone who can quickly forget such a defeat. I always try to see the positive and that is that I will be back with my family tomorrow. Obviously it would have been better if I was in the quarter-finals, but it's no different."
