Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith will battle it out who wins the weekly title in the Premier League Darts this week in Liverpool. The two finalists of the past World Darts Championship comfortably won their semi-finals.
Van Gerwen had no problems with Peter Wright, who booked his first win of this years campaign earlier on the night. An average of 94 was all 'Mighty Mike' needed to beat the Scot 6-1.
Nathan Aspinall produced a below par performance as he posted a 75 average. Smith averaged 91 to win 6-2 for a place in the final.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
