Michael van Gerwen claimed the World Grand Prix last weekend but still had time to give his thoughts on rising star Keane Barry who claimed the Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay.
Barry will join Van Gerwen in the line-up now for the PDC World Championship at the end of the year and he sees him as a phenomenally talented player.
Mighty Mike spoke about practising with the rising star and said that he had a lot more in the tank from watching him before and that he wishes him all the best in the run-up to the World Championship.
"He's a phenomenally talented player," MVG told RTE Sport.
"Of course, he was a bit lucky that he won this game because he underperformed. I was practicing with him and he's got a lot more talent in there.
"I think he had some nerves, but that's all part of the game.
"He's a good guy to practice with and I enjoyed it.
"I want to wish him all the best, and with his qualification for the World Championship, I think his career is going to start now.
"He needs to do really well and make the right decisions in life."
