Van Peer returns to PDC ProTour after dartitis struggles: "From now on I mainly want to be mentioned because I perform well"

As a result of a third place finish in the Development Tour rankings, Berry van Peer recently secured a PDC Tour Card for the next two years.

Van Peer previously was on the PDC ProTour but had well documented struggles with dartitis which saw him become a focal point at the 2017 Grand Slam of Darts.

"Lately, however, things have been getting better and I have started winning tournaments regularly. Several people said I had to go all out again, so I am very pleased that I have managed to claim a Tour Card again", said Van Peer to Omroep Brabant.

He wants to shun the image of his dartitis though and wants to be remembered for his performances: "It's annoying, but I understand it in a way. But from now on I mainly want to be mentioned because I do perform well. I have to stay mentally strong, perform and hope that it will automatically blow over on social media."
