During the Women's Series recently, there was a remarkable incident where a camera suddenly fell to the ground during the match between Beau Greaves and Fallon Sherrock. This inspired Edgar TV, the youtube channel of former professional darts player Matthew Edgar, to delve briefly into the regulations of the sport of darts.
There were a number of similar incidents in the past, such as the famous 'wind-gate' incident between Adrian Lewis and James Wade during the semi-final of the 2012 PDC World Darts Championship at the Alexandra Palace. The match was even stopped for a while then because some gusts of wind disrupted the match.
But there is apparently no real one-size-fits-all rulebook on what to do in such a situation. You can watch the whole discussion in the video below!
