As a Contender back in 2019, Chris Dobey came out to the tones of 'Local Hero' by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, a song synonymous with Newcastle United and he returned to the song on his full Premier League Darts return on Thursday night.
But in heightened fashion as instead of the PDC Darts Dancers that usually are on the oche dancing to the players' walk-on during the Premier League, it was four Newcastle United flags being waved as a Local Hero was welcomed home.
