The Danes were unable to surprise the Netherlands at the
World Cup of Darts on Thursday night. However an action by Danish player Niels Heinsøe did raise a few eyebrows for
Michael van Gerwen.
Heinsøe, after retrieving his darts from the board, accidentally dropped a flight when he walked back to his table on the stage. He could not pick up the flight immediately, because Van Gerwen was throwing his darts towards the dartboard.
Once Van Gerwen was at the board and with his back to the other players, Heinsøe saw his chance to pick up his flight. As Van Gerwen unsuspectingly turned to walk to his spot at the back of the stage, he bumped into his Danish opponent, who immediately apologised to the world number three.
