A WIRE FROM HISTORY 😫💔 The pain. Simon Whitlock wires D18 for a pairs nine-darter at the World Cup! Heta hits 36 for a 10-darter and a 2-1 lead...
Australia came very close to making the first ever pairs nine-dart finish at the World Cup of Darts on Friday night. A Simon Whitlock miss on double 18 prevented history from being made.
Whitlock started the third leg of the match between Australia and Lithuania with a 180. Teammate Damon Heta followed with another maximum score. Whitlock's first two arrows of the third turn were also thrown into the triple, after which the required double was missed.
