Wade after securing Premier League survival with Clayton win: "I think some people forget I can still play darts"

James Wade secured his Premier League survival with an emphatic win over Jonny Clayton with an average over 105 once again.

'The Machine' is starting to produce some formidable darts and spoke about what competitions like the Premier League are selected on following his win to Unibet.

"I think some people forget I can still play darts, that's what I feel. The last 12 months, there's certain things in my life that aren't important enough for me to worry about that much anymore,"

"If it went on growth, gratitude and achievements, I would be on Sky Sports all the time but it doesn't go on that. How many players have won more than me? Probably not a lot. It's what's publicised and what's present and I'm unfortunate where I probably haven't got as much as that as possible."
