Wales are into the final of 2022
World Cup of Darts after ending the darting dream of the Netherlands in a 2-0 win and they will face either England or Australia later in Frankfurt.
Gerwyn Price while not at the level he was earlier when he averaged just shy of 118 breezed past Danny Noppert in a 4-1 win to begin the Welsh charge.
He averaged 88 with a high checkout of 115 checkout and 44.4% on the doubles with a doubling disaster for 'The Freeze' who hit just 1/8 during the contest.
Jonny Clayton from there finished the job with a 4-2 win over Dirk van Duijvenbode in a high quality tie in which 'The Ferret' averaged 97 with 4/5 on his doubles with 'The Titan' hitting a 96 average and four 180's to no avail as the Dutch charge ended.
Clayton began well with a 94 checkout as well as an 11-darter to go 2-1 up. But on his throw, Van Duijvenbode was getting fired up and produced two 180’s and a 43 checkout for parity at 2-2.
‘The Ferret’ went one away with a hold on double 20 at 3-2 up and he sealed the deal on the same target to seal a spot in the final.
