White on Premier League players having advantage: "When they start the World Matchplay it is natural for them"

After the UK Open in March, World Matchplay is the next major TV tournament in July. According to Ian White, the players who play the Premier League in between have a greater advantage. In the Premier League, the best ten players in the world compete against each other for weeks.
“If you are not invited to that tournament, you will participate in the UK Open in early March and then you will not be playing on a big stage until July. Premier League players get used to the stage and to the audience. When they start the World Matchplay it is natural for them. We then watched from the sidelines for four or five months, ”said White at RTL Nieuws.
“We play on the floor almost every week, so you get used to those tournaments. This also applies to the Euro Tour. We do much more than before. ”
White is close to the top 10 in the world rankings, but has never been invited to the Premier League. "They sometimes choose players for the Premier League who are 16 or 21 in the world rankings, but that is not my choice," said Diamond. Still, he doesn't want to complain too much. "I just have to keep going because I have the best job in the world."
