Whitlock dumps out Cullen, Magnificent Meikle downs Cross as Dutch Darts Championship continues

The Dutch Darts Championship continues on Saturday evening and for Simon Whitlock and Ryan Meikle, they continue the glut of seeded names who have now departed in Zwolle.

Meikle was first up in the evening session and took down Rob Cross in one of his best displays on the European Tour. It featured a 100 average from 'The Barber' alongside three 180's and 6/15 on the doubles.

This compared to a 98 average from Cross albeit with 2/1`0 on the doubles proving an achilles heel. Luke Humphries who is not in Holland said Cross can finally win one while he's not there but that won't now happen after back-to-back finals. Is it going to be a landmark run for Meikle?

Or will Whitlock on the site of sole European Tour triumph return to winning ways in Holland. He is certainly going about it the right way this weekend surviving four match darts to see off Joe Cullen 6-5.

Cullen like last week produced in the Premier League but was flat on the European Tour as he went 4-2 and 5-3 up before allowing 'The Wizard' back in and he now joins Meikle in Finals Day.
