Whitlock set to face Noppert in final of Players Championship 2 in Barnsley

The final is set at Players Championship Two as Simon Whitlock will face Danny Noppert shortly in Barnsley as the winner will join Ryan Searle in the winners' circle on the opening weekend of ProTour action.

Noppert saw off Brendan Dolan with a commanding 7-3 win as 'The Freeze' starts his season again in superb fashion. He faces Whitlock who has been on a resurgent run today.

Hitting nine 180's, he took out top seed Luke Humphries 7-4 to seal victory but can he add a first title in a number of years?
