Who are the only two ever-presents in history of UK Open?

Just two darters can start preparing for their 22nd participation in the UK Open, also known as the 'FA Cup of Darts'. They are the only players who have qualified for all editions of the renowned tournament.

But who are they? Firstly, Steve Beaton is yet to miss a single edition of the UK Open. 'The Bronzed Adonis' recorded his best result in 2004, when he reached the semi-finals. By the way, this will be Beaton's last ever participation as the 1996 world champion has announced that he will retire from the professional circuit after this season.

That means James Wade is likely to become the sole record holder this time next year. Wade also begins his 22nd UK Open in Minehead this weekend. 'The Machine' managed to win the tournament in 2008, 2011 and 2021.
