World Grand Prix 2019: Race to Dublin with two events left

The race to the World Grand Prix continues after the latest European Tour event which was won by Gerwyn Price and the Welshman has benefited from that win.

As a result, Price has jumped Peter Wright for the provisional sixth seed with only two events till the cut off. All of the 16 seeds have seemingly confirmed their spots at the CityWest but only eight players from the ProTour have.

This means that 27 players mathematically are still in the running for Dublin with a weekend of ProTour action still to go in Barnsley.

Mervyn King is only just clinging on to their final spot and with Gabriel Clemens and Jose de Sousa both in good form; they seem good candidates to take their place with further good runs at the Players Championship double header.

Overall it is far from over with a big weekend to come before we know the lineup in full and some of the big names may still not be involved.
