Wright looks ahead to Premier League opener in Aberdeen: "It's going to be immense"

Peter Wright will head into the Premier League opener in a months time as World Champion and he will head home for the first leg when he takes to the stage at Aberdeen.
Wright has spoke ahead of the Premier League; he said that it's going to be an amazing way to start his campaign.
He added that not only because he will be announced as World Champion but also due to the involvement of John Henderson and Gary Anderson.
"John McDonald announcing me as world champion - the place is going to erupt," Wright told BBC Scotland.
"It's going to be immense," he added.
"Gary Anderson is back, which is fantastic for Scottish darts, and John Henderson is playing again. He had one of the greatest ever walk-ons in darts there last year.
"I can't wait. It's going to be amazing."

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises.
