Peter Wright and Glen Durrant played out an entertaining end to proceedings on the opening night of the Premier League restart with a draw on the cards between the pair.
Wright who could have won at the end had it not been
for a costly miscount admitted it was a good point; but that he had a 'mental block' during that miscount.
"I think it was a good point, obviously because Glen (Durrant) is top and he's been top for a while. I played Nathan (Aspinall) who was second and Michael Smith who's third; I got points off of them and to get a point off Glen who is top, I'm quite happy," said Wright to Online Darts.
"I just had a complete mental block in my head. I wanted to finish on double seven for some reason; it just kept jumping in my head. That was the bad thing I missed double seven."
On playing consecutively over the week, Wright is a fan: "It's going to be really tough but it's going to be really good. I think you're going to see some amazing darts and players coming in and out of form. Look at that first game between Gary (Anderson) and Michael (Smith) wow; I was watching Michael going he's probably thinking how the hell am I not winning this game."
