Peter Wright saw off Michael Smith last night in the Premier League as the action reached Liverpool and he was pleased to claim the win.

Wright admitted that he knew he had to get two points; due to the current standard of the event; so as soon as he started to produce a comeback, he kicked into gear.
"I made hard work of it," admitted Wright. "Michael's been playing some fantastic darts - he's a quality player and when he started coming back at me I said to myself 'no, you're not getting a draw off me.'.
"I knew I had to come here and get some points; so it's good to get two points. It's tight in the table and I think it's the best Premier League that we've had in a long time; everyone's playing fantastic darts and it's very difficult."
