She was not unlucky with the draw, she was not good enough on day one and she was not good enough on day 2 either. She has one more chance tomorrow to see if she is good enough. It is an entirely different thing to have to earn qualification against all of the other very good players outside the full tour, rather than get exemptions and invites or easy qualification against female dart players to prime TV events. This while having the crowd booing and whistling on the double atempts by her opponents to give her a huge advantage. There are a lot of very good players out there who are better than she ever will be but they do not get the breaks that she gets as they are seemingly the wrong sex. What was very disappointing was that the PDC gave the top 8 females in the WDF or whatever they call it now, a free invite to PDC Q school and only Sherrock, Hedman, Hammond and Gulliver took up the offer. Do these females really want to improve their games? if so then why are they not seizing these chances with both hands. Lisa Ashton was already into the 2nd stage as she Earned a tour card 2 years ago. She has learned how tough it is on the full tour after her 2 seasons there, I wish her luck again this time around as her experiences over the last 2 years will hold her in good stead.

Price must be angry about the treatment that he got from some nobodies among the crowd and the lack of protection that he and all the non English players have been afforded by the PDC officials. This started to get out of hand when they allowed the crowd to boo male players when they played against females. The PDC wants Sherrock and Ashton to win the odd match and then the media can hype them up as though they won the whole event and the crowd putting off their opponent on their doubling helps. Unfortunately the lowest common denominator among the crowd will sink lower and lower if they are allowed to unchecked and this along with covid testing healthy players has ruined this years world darts championship. Whoever lifts the title this year will know in their heart that it has been tarnished and massively devalued . VVDV, MVG and DC most likely got their covid infections from the crowd and even though all of them are totally well, the rules forced them to withdraw. This is a great shame for them and darts as they have done everything that they possibly could to avoid infection, living in bubbles in their private lives and making many sacrifices only to be punished by poor organisation and contradictary rules. Get it sorted.

Anderson and Price are quite right about the crowd, who are berating players on stage and putting them off, due to their nationality. It is one thing for them to boo in unison while a players is throwing at a double but quite another for one or two idiots in the crowd to shout out obscenities or whistle when a player is about to throw at a double, this is cheating. If these darts players were Black footballers this would already have been dealt with and the idiots in the crowd banned for life and ejected. Abuse is abuse even if it is aimed at a White male and the non English players are being victimised and discriminated against. The lowest common denominator in the crowd that is doing these kind of things will only get worse if unpunished and the darts will not be worth watching. I feel the PDC have allowed it to happen as usually the idiots get behind Sherrock or Ashston and put the male player off on his doubles and they think that this is good to get cheap publicity for the sport. Could you imagine the press and the pundits and the PDCs reaction if the shoe were on the other foot and the female player was the one being abused on stage? Get it sorted.

Price was cheated as he had 2 match darts at his favourite double top and the crowd put him off. The crowd tried to put Wright off too with not as much aggression as was directed at Price and his young family. Smith played well but he was still lucky to win. The PDC has now to stamp this cheating by the crowd out and punish them, even if it means stopping ad delaying the match untill the culprits have been banned for life and ejected from the building. I feel that if the Dart player being constantly berated and slandered by some jerk in the crowd every time they went for a double, was a minority or a Female then the officials would do more to stop it and punish the offenders. With this going on I am personally done with watching the darts and I have cancelled my PDC subscription over this, because I want to see the best players in the finals and not those that the drunken thugs want there. I hope that Wright now goes on to win as he is easily the best of those that remain in it.
