Jarred Cole saw off Martin Adams in a terrific display to begin 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship and will now face Antony Allen.
Cole was pleased to get through especially against such an iconic legend of the game.
"I'm so happy with how that game came about. Playing Martin Adams for a start is an iconic moment especially on Lakeside, I'm so happy with that. I'm over the moon. He didn't play as well as he can but I'm very happy with how I played. I'm looking forward to the next game now," said Cole to Tungsten Tales.
"Best of three sets you need to get out of the blocks running. As soon as I won the first set, I kind of settled a bit. You wouldn't know that if you watched the game but I felt comfortable."
"As soon as I won the first leg I felt I was going to start coming through and start playing my game and I know right now, my game is really good and I'm playing really well."
