De Peuter, Maat, Jansson and McGuirk win WDF titles in Catalonia

Last weekend there were WDF tournaments played in Catalonia. The titles were claimed by Patricia de Peuter, Patrick Maat, Maud Jansson and Shane McGuirk.

First of all the Catalonian Open was on the schedule on Saturday. In the ladies' category the win went to De Peuter, who won her first WDF title since 2012. The Belgian beat Ramona Eriksen in the final 4-3. Maat won the men's tournament by beating compatriot Alexander Merkx 5-1.

On Sunday the FCD Anniversary Open was played. Jansson sealed the ladies title by defeating her compatriot Anna Forsmark in the final. The men's tournament was won by McGuirk. He was too strong for defending champion Andy Baetens 5-4, after McGuirk made up for a 1-4 deficit in the final.
