World Seniors Darts Matchplay moved to York as 2023 edition announced

The World Seniors Darts Tour have confirmed the next edition of the World Seniors Darts Matchplay which will take place in a new location of York.

As well as moving from Hull, the tournament will also shift from its inaugural slot of July to 2-3 September, 2023 with tickets going on sale this Friday.

Taking place at York Barbican, the poster features five names who will seemingly take part in defending champion Robert Thornton, Martin Adams, Phil Taylor, Kevin Painter and John Part.

Adding to the World Seniors Darts Championship being announced, it continues what will be a big year for WSDT.

This includes increased prize money, World Championship field increasing and a fourth TV major set as well as 25% of the field now being qualifiers e.g David Cameron, Colin McGarry and Richie Howson who have starred in previous tournaments.
