Wednesday the men's tournament of the WDF World Masters gets underway in the Hungarian capital Budapest. From Wednesday, Oct. 9 to Saturday, Oct. 12, hundreds of players will compete for the title at this tournament.
The men's tournament of the WDF World Masters has an impressive list of honors. John Lowe, Eric Bristow, Bob Anderson, Peter Evison, Phil Taylor, Rod Harrington, Dennis Priestley, Steve Beaton, Richie Burnett, Andy Fordham, Raymond van Barneveld, Mervyn King, Michael van Gerwen, Robert Thornton, Martin Adams, Stephen Bunting, Glen Durrant and Krzysztof Ratajski managed to secure a spot on the honor roll.
The defending champion at this event is Wesley Plaisier, who was 7-2 strong for Barry Copeland in the final two years ago. Both players are competing in the World Masters again this year.
Participants also include such familiar names as Scott Mitchell, Neil Duff, Ben Robb, Liam Maendl-Lawrance, Kai-Fan Leung, Alexander Merkx, Jimmy van Schie, Thomas Junghans, Marko Kantele, Moreno Blom, Matthew Edgar, Dennis Nilsson, Nico Blum, Connor Scutt, Alex Spellman, Jarno Bottenberg, Brian Raman, Jeff Smith, Dennie Olde Kalter, Andy Boulton, Andreas Harrysson, Xanti van den Bergh, Arjan Konterman, Johan Engstrom, Carlo van Peer and Michael Unterbuchner.
