Keith Deller was involved at the World Seniors Darts Championship, however he caused a stir due to the amount of chalk he used and the effect he had on the board.
"Disappointing today but well done to Neil Duff and good luck to rest of the tournament, anybody moaning about the chalk, the two biggest names of all time, Eric Bristow and Phil Taylor never moaned about it, " wrote Deller.
Former World Youth Champion James Hubbard weighed in, telling Deller "pundits are paid to have an opinion." He said: "They’ve just been honest about form in their predictions, no jealousy or disrespect" after he hit out at Paul Nicholson and Matthew Edgar.
"Your opinion James," Deller replied "To say ban chalk. What about player putting on stuff that stinks and is very off putting? Also a player you know on the pro tour conceded the game at 4-4 because the persons hygiene was disgusting, where does it end?"
This in itself was reminiscent of the 2018 Grand Slam incident between Gary Anderson and Wesley Harms in which the latter accused Anderson of farting on stage.
