Howson defiant after third successive final defeat on World Seniors Darts Tour: "I've just got to try and get to another one"

Sadly for Richie Howson, it wasn’t third time lucky as far as his appearances in TV finals this year. The 57-year-old Englishman went down 6-2 against Leonard Gates in the final of the World Seniors Darts Masters.

Earlier this year, Howson also lost the final of the Senior World Championship and the Champion of Champions event. "To be fair, I don't think I've played really well this weekend," he admits to Online Darts. "So to get to the final, I can probably take a lot of positives from that."

Nevertheless, coming so close to glory yet again must be a bitter pill to swallow for Howson. "I've just got to try and get to another one if I can and try and win one," he says defiantly. "It's hard to take when you have just lost a final and it's hard to look happy."
