Jim McEwan will compete in the World Seniors Darts Matchplay in early September. The Scot was the first winner Saturday in the qualifying tournament for one of the top tournaments at the World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT).
The 56-year-old McEwan qualified for the World Seniors Darts Matchplay by successively defeating Wayne France (5-0), Dennis Harbour (5-1), Paul Hogan (5-4), Colin McGarry (5-3), Mark Dudbridge (6-2) and Matt Clark (6-2).

The World Seniors Darts Matchplay is scheduled for September 2 and 3 in the playing city of York. Robert Thornton, Martin Adams, Phil Taylor, Kevin Painter, John Part, Glen Durrant, John Henderson, Scott Mitchell, David Cameron, Leonard Gates, Trina Gulliver, Neil Duff and Richie Howson are also competing in this event. Two more participants will be added later.
