Scott Mitchell latest player confirmed for 2023 World Seniors Darts Championship after failing to regain PDC Tour Card

Scott Mitchell has been added to the 2023 World Seniors Darts Championship as the 27th entrant. 'Scotty Dog' is competing in this tournament for the first time.

The World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT) organises tournaments for (well-known) darters aged 50 and over. PDC players are excluded from participation due to contractual agreements. One of these tournaments is the World Championship at Circus Tavern.

Mitchell still held a PDC Tour Card last year, which prevented him from competing at the time. After last season, he lost his Tour Card. After the 52-year-old failed to regain his Tour Card last week, he received an invitation to the World Seniors Darts Championship from the WSDT.

The next edition will be played from 9 to 12 February. Former top darters such as Phil Taylor, John Part, Robert Thornton and Kevin Painter will compete in that event.
