Montgomery and Ashton claim titles at Czech Open

The first winners of the weekend at the Czech Open have been confirmed with Ross Montgomery and Lisa Ashton taking the honours.

Montgomery put in one of his best performances in a while in what has been a fairly barren season in seeing off rising star Keane Barry. ‘The Boss’ averaged 93; compared to 95 from the latter.

In terms of the ladies, Ashton continued her form which she exhibited at the Grand Slam by easing past Lorraine Winstanley 5-1 in the final.

’The Lancashire Rose’ like Winstanley will head to the qualifier for the PDC World Championship and based on this, Ashton could again be the player to beat.
