16-year-old Luke Littler has once again proven why he is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the sport of darts. The Englishman successfully defending his MODUS Super Series title.
Despit the victory, Littler wasn't overly impressed with his performance. "The final weren't the best. At 2-2 I took out the 90 on the bull and if I hadn't I'd probably have lost the game. I didn’t feel great, I was shaking." Nevertheless, Littler was too good for Colin Osborne in the final.
Whilst his first MODUS title earlier this year saw the free flowing quality he is well-known for, this time around Littler showed off a different side to his game. "In the semi-final and final there were opportunities where I could have gone down but I dug in and now I've done it. I've done it again."
"I love it down here. But obviously I'm second on the Development Tour, on to get my Tour Card. But if I do get the Tour Card I'll have to thank everyone at MODUS," he concludes before revealing what he will spend his second £20,000 winners cheque of the year on. "I can get an even better car now than I thought!"
