Klaasen triumphs at Modus Super Series despite adverse conditions: "I can't deal with heat"

Jelle Klaasen has won the ninth week of play in the Modus Super Series. The 38-year-old Dutchman defeated his compatriot Chris Landman 4-0 in the final.

Klaasen was obviously extremely satisfied afterwards. "I'm pretty satisfied with the way I played. I played well when I had to but I think I was lucky that Chris missed some doubles in the beginning. I'm happy with my game and happy with the win," Klaasen said. "I can't deal with heat. My hands were wet but the darts didn't slip so I'm happy with the way I played."

"In the semi finals and final I was much more focused and luckily I managed to hit my doubles," continued 'The Cobra'.

"I haven't been putting in the hours I should have but now I have to get ready for the Challenge Tour at the beginning of August."
