Fallon Sherrock made history Friday at the
Modus Super Series. She became the first lady to throw a nine darter live on television.
"I'm over the moon, I'm speechless. I'm so happy," Sherrock opened. "I was sitting there thinking to myself oh please the double 12 just go in.
"I was thinking get the first treble and then I threw for the 19, I was like right just throw at the 12 and don't think about it."
A trailblazer, Sherrock who continues to tick off the records is more lost for words at the thought of inspiring others than her own personal accolades.
"I feel so honored and feel really happy in myself. I never thought I'd be the one inspiring all these people. Making the Women's game better as it goes along and having me as part of helping that, I'm speechless about it as I never thought I'd be the one doing it."
Sherrock has also noticed that the level at the PDC Women's Series is getting higher and higher. "I probably don't realize it's part of me that's helped it all. The women's game is getting better and better.
But doing a feat as she said which is reserved for the men often with her being the first, she said it gives her an inner confidence and bizarrely was also the first
nine-darter she had actually seen live and she was throwing it.
"It just gives you a sense of belief that if they can do it, I can do it. You always see the men hitting them on TV but never the women. I'd never seen a real nine-darter so the fact that I hit one I was like that's the first one I've actually seen. So it inspires me to do more myself."
