Gary Anderson became only the third player in the history of darts to complete the darting triple crown with his victory at the World Matchplay.
Anderson joins Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor who are known as two of the best in the modern era in doing so. The triple crown is of course the World Championship, World Matchplay and Premier League.
Of course ‘The Flying Scotsman’ won the Premier League in 2011 and 2015; as well as the World Championship in 2015 and 2016 so now joins this small but illustrious group of players.
