Aspinall smashes Wade with 108 average, Van Gerwen edges past Van Barneveld with deciding leg win

Aspinall saw off James Wade in a stunning display for the UK Open Champion who smashed the in form Aldershot ace 6-2. He averaged 108 and hit four 180’s in a commanding victory with 55 percent on the doubles also. Van Gerwen had it less easy in an all Dutch tussle with Raymond van Barneveld where he had to come through a last leg decider. Barney showed that he definitely still has it and a 114 checkout in the deciding leg was needed by MVG to claim the win.
