BDO board voted against Ashton receiving invite for Grand Slam Of Darts

Lisa Ashton spoke of how she was annoyed about being overlooked for the Grand Slam Of Darts and now it seems the BDO board voted against ‘The Lancashire Rose’ receiving an invite.
Also supposedly only the new BDO chairman, Des Jacklin voted for Ashton getting an invite.
Ahead of the new 2019 season, the rules could be revised; so that Ashton and other ladies players are given a chance again.
There have been previous representatives from the ladies side; including Anastasia Dobromysolva, Tricia Wright and Stacy Bromberg.
