The European Tour continued this past weekend in Zwolle with Michael van Gerwen winning yet another title. It was Stephen Bunting though that topped the scoring statistics.
'The Bullet' who had a brilliant weekend at the Dutch Darts Masters and showed some great form after showing previous promising signs. Bunting hit an effort of 106.09 in the last 32 to reach the top of the averages.
Peter Wright who reached the latter stages for the first time in a while hit the second highest effort with 103.40 behind Bunting. Michael van Gerwen who had a poor weekend but still claimed the title and he only figured once on the list coming 4th with 102.78.
The Dutch Darts Masters was the first European Tour event of the season not to produce all 100+ averages in the top ten and not only that but most of them were surprisingly thrown in the early stages.

It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. If it is going to be done to English players, then we are more than entitled to dish the same back when players face off in England. - I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
