Dave Chisnall is through to the third round at the PDC World Darts Championship but he survived a huge scare in doing so.

Chisnall came from two-nil down in sets and potentially being smashed out of the tournament to going two-one up in legs in the deciding set to completing the comeback. In the end ‘Chizzy’ hit an average of 96, showed his power scoring with six 180’s and a high checkout of 103. Payne started the match looking really impressive and continued that throughout the first two sets. ‘The Maximum’ took them in no time at all giving Chisnall little to no darts at a double. This was while he was averaging 110 and hitting everything. A big break of throw on Chisnall’s favourite double 20 after Payne was throwing for the match was the turning point. ‘Chizzy’ went on to win the set and this fired him up. A 103 checkout to start the next set illustrated this. In the end a three-one legs win in the final set with Chisnall finding another gear was enough. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
