Dimitri van den Bergh is through to Round 2 at the World Championship. 'The Dreammaker' may just make his dreams come true over the next few weeks at the Alexandra Palace.
He defeated Stephen Bunting by 3 sets to 1 in a cracking match that could easily have gone to a final set with Bunting folding on his throw in the last leg of the 4th set allowing Dimitri to win through.
Stats wise, the World Youth Champion turned on the style with five 180's, a high checkout of 127 and a brilliant 104 average compared to Bunting who hit a 98 average and the big fish, the 170 checkout along the way in what many people earmarked as the game of the first round with both men in good form as of late.
