Danny Noppert is this years' Finder Darts Masters champion taking over from the defending champion Glen Durrant. He defeated Jim Williams, a first time BDO major finalist who has had a good year but fell short at the final hurdle losing to 'Noppie' in a brilliant final at the Hotel Zuiderduin.
Noppert won by 5 sets to 3 against Williams with the Welshman pushing him all the way and had Noppert not hit T16 to have a go at D12 to win the match, it could of gone to a deciding set but it was a game at times that was poor but at other times both players were smashing in T20's for fun making it a thrilling affair.
For Noppert it's perfect preparation as it is for Williams for the World Championship and especially for the Joure native who has not really played the tour this year but has had a class weekend. Williams will look back on getting to the final ahead of Lakeside and also knocking out the likes of Durrant and Waites on the way.
Danny Noppert (95.24) 5-3 Jim Williams (86.97)
