Dolan hit an average of 87 with a high checkout of 141 in dropping just one leg on the way to the win. There was a lot of nerves to Liu’s game and with Dolan’s experience he took advantage. This was with Liu not even being given a dart at the double in the first two sets in a mix of impressive play and like alluded to nerves. That aforementioned 141 checkout was at the start of set three. Liu finally got a leg on the board in the next leg grabbing the leg at the first time of asking with a 180 before that. From there though he was only afforded a few more darts at the double for the rest of the game as Dolan just tried getting over the line. He did so with Liu not getting another leg and ‘The History Maker’ is through to potentially make a bit of personal history if he beats Cullen a first appearance in the last 32. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
